About the Author

BigPPup
AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Don't Worry, I Didn't Forget Yall, Walker's Rants are Here

Another week in the books, football season seems to be running well on the college and professional levels, and the MARFU Rugby season kicked off here on the East Coast. All in all you have to say it was a good week. So let’s get this week started right with another edition of Walker’s Rants

Told you the OSU vs. USC game would be a bust…

The Cincinnati Bengals are awful, and Marvin Lewis will be granted his release from the asylum come the end of the season…

Cowboys and Eagles are the two best teams in football…

Thank God the Cowboys won that Monday night game…

USC may be one of the best teams I have ever seen…

Ned Yost gets fired with about 12 games to go in the season? Damn now that’s what I call a rough gig…

Desean Jackson; damn!

Why is O.J. Simpson still in the news?

The Virginia Cavaliers are horrible. Al Groh has run a once proud program right into the ground and who knows how long it will take to undo the mess he has created. Absolutely shameful…

A couple of these division races in the MLB have gotten very interesting. I may have to watch a little baseball during the week…

The New England Patriots look like the Pats of 01 and 02. Ball control and defense. That will be enough for them to wrap up another AFC East title…

The Kansas City Chiefs and the St. Louis Rams should be combined into one team. No sense in them stinking up two different fields on Sunday, no one wants to watch them play anyways (sorry Chris)…

There is something special about this year’s Oklahoma Sooners team, don’t sleep on them just yet…

San Diego got screwed. There has to be a rule change to make that reviewable. If not, then there is no reason to have the technology…

Big Ben, one tough S.O.B. way to play through that pain…

Rugby in mid September on the East Coast can be brutal. 96 degrees at kickoff heat index over 100 not fun…

"Why is O.J. Simpson still in the news?"

I'll field this one. Once upon a time, there was this running back named OJ Simpson. He went to USC, won the Heisman Trophy, had a good NFL career, so on so forth. Then, Hollywood came calling and he started appearing in movies. His most famous role came though when he co-starred in the 1988 comedy, The Naked Gun: From the Files of the Police Squad. How OJ never got a Best Supporting Actor Nod, I'll never know...

I'll always remember him from the never-aired 1994 TV Movie Frogmen - his last acting gig before "someone" killed his wife and her coke-sharing friend - where he played the role of a NAVY S.E.A.L. and first demonstrated his ability to wield a knife in a deadly fashion.

BigPPup, I imagine it's better than Rugby in Arizona at this time of year. ;-)

It's actually getting nice again! It was under 100 yesterday! (that's Fahrenheit, Alex... take it easy.) Anything under 107 degrees here KILLS 85 degrees with 80% humidity in D.C.

Eh... I've played out in Vegas during the Summer so I am used to it. But nonetheless it is just never easy, especially I prefer the dry 107 out west over the 95 plus humidity we have in the south.

We have 25C (77F) in summer, and 5C (41F) in winter, usually. We rarely get to temperatures approaching 0F. I much prefer 5 over 25 though. You can always put a jumper on, turn the heating on. It's very difficult to cool down from 25.
