AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Cowboys Trade and Pick Up Roy Williams

The Dallas Cowboys have been in the headlines even more than normal in recent days, and this last headline could be one to save their season. The Dallas Cowboys have made a trade with the Detroit Lions to receiver the services of wide out Roy Williams. The deal will cost the Cowboys first, third and sixth round picks in 2009. In return Dallas gets Williams and a seventh round pick in on the upcoming season. Perhaps Williams can finally mature into the player he was supposed to be when he came out of college.

I'm not a Cowboys fan, but my hat goes off to Jerry Jonezs at least he's really trying to win unlike Jeff Lurie, the owner of the Eagles. How can you not give a a 2nd round pick for Tony Gonzalez? Lurie claims he's pedal to the medal. If that were true, given the lack of production from LJ Smith he wouls have the pulled the trigger. It's getting harder and harder to root for this ownership.

I pretty much agree I do think a 2nd was too much for Gonzo though (and i wouldn't have done it)...I think he could have been had for a 3rd with some finagling...

Supposedly they offered a 3, but Carl Peterson was driving a hard bargain for a 2nd. Now all he has is an angry Tony G on his hands (profootballtalk.com). So in the end no one got what they needed. Hence, the Chiefs are basement dwellers and so are the Eagles. Where's Mark Cuban?
