About the Author

BigPPup
AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Yeah, we're gonna get eaten upo inside.

Not by size but simply by good old fashion fundamental basketball. Our interior is going to get sliced and diced with ease.

You CAN'T win in international basketball on the strength of guard play and black hole shooting forwards. It's going to be 2 on five every trip down the court.

The lane is wider, so it's also tougher to defend. And scrappy bigs go a LOT further than amazing dunkers...

Amare knew what he was doing by staying home... we could SO use Tim Duncan on this squad.

Yeah but after the foul situation back in 04 Duncan has a very bitter taste in his mouth when it comes to International ball. I agree with you Manny, the US is lacking in the middle, Howard will be over his head and Bosh and Boozer arent ready either.

Don't get me wrong. I like those guys - but we both agree they are over their head with what will be asked of them.

We can't FORCE other teams to play the way we do. They CAN force us to play differently by shredding us like cheddar.

These Olympics are going to be hairy all around (except for softball) for our country.

Yeah you're exactly right. Our bigs are not able to play that style, and unless BronBron goes 75% from the field again, Michael Redd wont be enough of an outside shooter to break the zones. It will be very interesting to see how the track team does in the wake of the steroid scandals and crackdown. I think you could be very right and the gap between us and them just got a lot smaller

Some real good points here. Two guys they should absolutely have are Tim Duncan and Kevin Garnett. If this is a pro team, they should flat-out pay those two, and whoever else on this roster, to play on this team. DWade is a huge talent, but I would have told him to stay home and take care of his knee. This is a beatable team.
