AGM Linebacker and I will bring the pain.

I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

Charles Barkley Set to Return to Television

Word coming out of the executives from Turner Sports, is they are looking to add Charles Barkley back to "Inside the NBA" broadcast. The move to bring Barkley back on air will take place at some point after this weekends NBA All Star game.

Charles Barkley took a month off following an arrest for a DUI on December 31st, 2008. Sir Charles' blood proved to be more than twice the legal limit. As a result, TNT sports gave the NBA Hall of Famer some time off to work on his legal matters.

"It wasn't a hard decision for me to give him some time off to get his legal matters straight and to get his personal life in order," Turner Sports president David Levy said, according to the report. "The question is, when is the right time to bring him back? There is no magic answer to that. It's just a gut feel."

For the average television viewer bringing Charles Barkley is a very good move on TNT's part. While what he did was wrong and inexcusable, the way he was banned from pretty much all media outlets was shameful. Barkley's leave of absence was the perfect example of the typical media jumping onto their soap box and condemning whatever they don't agree with. Lucky for us, Barkley is too strong of a character to have his career destroyed that way. Charles Barkley is a very good commentator and the sports world is better off because of people like him. Barkley has become famous for his no none sense style and he simply tells it like it is. That is why so many fans enjoy him. I have no doubt his return to the air will be welcomed by all.

Great news. I've had just about all I can stand of C-Webb, GP, and The Mailman...

I could not agree more. I mean all those guys are actually pretty good if they have Barkley there as the ring leader. But none of them has the spark that Barkley does. Charles is made to be on TV he could host a talk show and people would watch just because of who he is and what he does. I'm sure the ratings drop had a lot to do with them bringing him back on air

It is amazing to me that the media can somehow hold these stars to such expectations. It's as if they are not human beings and subject to making mistakes. If the members of the media (and the viewers that agree with them) were half the people they expected celebs to be, this world would be a much better place. I would not know what I know now if not for the mistakes I made in the past. And, I am sure there will be plenty more for me to make in the future. No regrets, just lessons learned.

It'll be great to have Charles back on TNT. One thing his absence has done allow CWebb to emerge as possibly the best ex-player in the studio. TNT should team Webber, Barkley, Kenny and EJ permanently, and give cartoonish (and getting worse by the day!) GP the boot!
