I am well past obsessed with sports, especially Baseball. My girlfriend often thinks I would choose one conversation with Josh Beckett about his curveball grip over our relationship. It is tough call to be honest.. : )

I do not tend to buy into the hype of any young player. However, Cincinnati Reds' Jay Bruce is one I am prepared to drink the kool-aid on. He has done nothing but rake since he came into pro-ball (.555 SLG) in four Minor League seasons. On top of that, he has done it at every level throughout the Minors. This tells me that he has had to grow and make adjustments as a hitter. Also, the home park he plays in is very homer friendly. Add it all up and if Bruce gets 450 at-bats, I think a 20/20 campaign is very realistic.

One more interesting fact I stumbled upon today that I have to share. I knew that Albert Pujols is one of the best hitters to ever play the game. What I did not know was that Albert Pujols was this good! Amongst hitters with at least three thousand plate appearances, Albert has the fourth highest slugging percentage in the history of the game. Now let that sit for a second. That is higher then Ken Griffey Jr., Mickey Mantle, Willie Mays, Hank Aaron, and even Barry Bonds. We need to truly enjoy him why he is here.

Jay Bruce definitely has the potential to do well at the Major League level. So far, he has really helped the Reds' offense, and has made a statement to everyone in the MLB. Watch out for this kid, because he can HIT!

Not good, but improving. I had the misfortune of not being able to attend the draft, so as expected I got stuck with a lot of crap no one wanted. After sorting things out, I have been making a slow, steady climb up the standings, I've move three spots in the last two weeks.

But you're still crushing the guy who drafted Erik Bedard in the first round, eh?

So, I have sucked. I've been trying to make as many moves as possible to try to improve my team. Hopefully, I can get back up there as well.

No, that would be User:Tylersalt:Salty, who is currently third. The guy who drafted mostly Rays players is in second, but I know I'll catch him eventually.

Is it a coincidence? The guy in second has players from the team with the best winning percentage in the American League...

There are four Rays on my team; Navarro, Iwamura, Jackson, and Longoria. There are twenty-two players on my team (one extra because I have a player on the DL). But yeah, I'm loaded with Rays players...

Oh, but you said drafted. Ok then, I didn't draft Navarro but I did draft Al Reyes. So that is still four picks of Rays players. Given that is probably more than anyone else, it doesn't matter...

So good luck with the "passing soon enough" KD. Just remember, you have to leap-frog eight other teams before you can even sniff my ass...
