Breaking News: Holmgren to return.

Several sources are reporting that Mike "The Big Show" Holmgren will be returning to the Sidelines in Seattle.

Good.

This is something that the team needs more than a new left guard or a new running back. This is like a boat: Holmgren is the rudder that steers the ship. Over the years, the rudderhas grown and become more steady. Bringing in a new guy would have ripped it straight from the hull.

Mike Holmgren: Welcome back.

Interesting Stat: 12th all-time in wins and 5th all-time in post-season wins.

Who is the loser now?

UPDATE: In his press conference he does say that this WILL be his last season coaching the Seahawks. He said that he will then take "a little time off".

Excellent news. The sport is better with him at the helm of the Seahawks. Now they can concentrate on acquiring upgrades in personnel.

I don't know what the Seahawks would do with Holmgren. He's been the piece of the puzzle there in Seattle, and once you take him out, itll never be right. Dude has 6 playoff appearances out of the 9 years of his presence, even though he couldn't get any further than the divisional round, excluding 2005 when he lead them to the Super Bowl. Definitely one of the best coaches in football today, top 5 atleast.
