Boston Brushes off Pistons

Lakers vs. Celtics, it’s a classic. The Detroit Pistons blew a fourth quarter ten point lead, and the Celtics out scored the Pistons 29-13 in the fourth quarter to win the game 88-81 to return to the NBA finals for the first time in 21 years. The Pistons end the season by losing the Conference finals for the third straight time, they have been in conference finals for the last six years in a row.

The Boston Celtics final figured out a way to win on the road, winning two games at the Palace, after losing game two at the Garden and people starting to think that this series was over. Well it is over, and it ended with the Celtics taking the series in six games, the first time all post season the Celtics won a game in less than seven games.

The Celtics had a huge fourth quarter to pull out ht victory, playing great defense and making a few clutch shots. The green missed a few foul shots at the end of the game and had some people thinking, o no. But they held out and won this very big game. The big three had a huge game with Paul Pierce leading the team with 27 points, Ray Allen had 17 and Kevin Garnett had 16. The Piston’s Chauncey Billups lead all scorers with 29 points and Rick Hamilton, who left game 5 with an injury came up huge with 21 points but it wasn’t enough.

This finals match up with mark the 11th time that the Boston Celtics and Los Angeles Lakers have met in the playoffs. And the Celtics have won 8 of those match ups. The number one seed from both conferences will be matched up in the Finals for the first time since 2000. And the Celtics will be the first number one seed to advance to the finals since the Nets in 2002. Also just in case you did not know Boston was the worst team in the NBA last year, and over the off season, after the ping pong balls did not bounce their way they made some big moves and got the team back to the finals for the 20th time and the first time since 1987.

The Finals will begin on Thursday in Boston.
