Has anyone noticed that now that the steroid testing is at the forefront, the big guns have become peashooters? I was going to mention names but that would get everyone in an uproar.

Just check out the stats of the big home-run hitters from all teams. It's very interesting. Makes me think Mr. Mitchell's report only touched the surface.

Just my opinion.

It will be interesting to see how this season plays out. Especially since two of the most prominently associated names that get thrown about are not actually on the field at this time.

Uhhh... 1)it's not even two full weeks into the season. 2) there were just as many pitchers using steroids as hitters, 3) The Mitchell Report wasn't the beginning of steroids testing...

I personally think that the marked end of the Greenies Era is MORE responsible for any change in numbers than steroids or HGH.

Steroids take a while and consistent usage to have an effect. Amphetemines work within 20 minutes of ingestion.

And that is extremly important. Being able to get "up" enough to play on a regular basis day in and day out year in and year out is huge. And getting any edge at all is important.
