Why is Manny way better than T.O. or Chad Johnson or two other people you don't know personally? Everybody loved Kirby Puckett, turned out he was a scumbag when it came to women. Let's face it: we're all hypocrites when it comes to pro sports; if the guy's on your team, you'll make all kinds of excuses for him. This is a dumb post, though. Anybody can see that.

You'd think an Eagles fan like JuStLaME would lay low. They had their chance in week 2 and lost 41-37, then bitched and moaned after the game about how they were better team.

Let me see, you're laughing because the Cowboys lost an OT game on the road to a desperate Arizona team playing like it was their Super Bowl, with most of their defense running around like they were shot up with methamphetamine right before kickoff. Funny, because the same Cardinals team absolutely disgraced their uniforms a few weeks earlier, letting a mediocre Jets team hang 56 on their sorry asses. It's all a matter of when you play a team in the NFL, but that's a nuance lost on most sports fans, who see sporting events as an excuse to drink to excess and lose what's left of their minds.

I guess the Dallas franchise should just pack it in at 4-2. People who suggest that are probably quitters in real life. Why are the new breed of sports fans -- you know, the fantasy geeks and Madden-playing weenies -- such putzes? It's a question I often ponder as I peruse this site...

Only weenies who never played football or a real sport at any level could revel in the misfortune of an athlete like the sad Romo haters do. It says a whole lot more about the person who would post the above photo. Like fans of any NFL team wouldn't kill to have Tony Romo as their QB! But you're not man enough to admit it, which bespeaks, as I said, of the total "putziness" found in abundance on this very site and others like it. Just thought a little perspective was in order.

What's your actual comment? That Peyton Manning is better than Romo? Wow, you should be working for one of the networks with insight like that; what with all your free time maybe you can volunteer or something. But anyone who actually refers to their "avatar" is just too salient for me to even debate, so why bother. What's great is that Jose Reyes and Co. have all the more time to come up with novel hand shakes and slaps to inspire their opponents into hating them even more. The Nationals got pumped up and knocked your butts right out the playoff picture. Sweet!

We're talking about football. Oblong object, brown with white threads. I can't be sure, but Reyes doesn't play football, as far as I know. He plays baseball. Round object, white with red threads. I was responding to your comment that any NFL team would want Mr. Tony Romo as their quarterback, a position exclusive to football. My response was to point out a team (the Indianapolis Colts) that would not like to replace their quarterback (the more esteemed and disseminated Mr. Peyton Manning) with the aforementioned Mr. Romo.

That would roughly be my point.

But that's your typical sports fan these days. Everything is a joke. Sports was a lot better before every asswipe with a keyboard was free to offer up their worthless opinions. You brought your fancy avatar into the discussion, and I guess I just couldn't focus because Mets fans just happen to be the most annoying, neurotic, paranoid fans, what with their built-in inferiority complex living in the shadow of Yankee Greatness, and like the Red Sox fans before the curse was reversed, Mets fans love to wear their lovable loser label like a fashion statement. How insufferable!

You left me no choice but to be condescending. I tried to make a point about the NFL and you just jumped right over it to make fun of the Mets. As if my team loyalty in another sport would somehow render my NFL opinion worthless. That's condescending, if you ask me.

Oh, and loveable losers? We're not Cubs fans. There's no such things as curses, and you calling me insufferable is the epitome of hypocrisy.

Tim Hauck, what a legend. What's your point, that he was or wasn't sorry he seriously injured Irvin, one of the best players to ever play WR in the history of the league? (Check the numbers: he played in a run-oriented offense.) Hauck isn't even a footnote in the history of his own team, or teams in his case, just like your career interviewing American Gladiator jackasses. How's that, tough guy. And as for "Oh, and SSR, I'm going to plus that picture wherever I see it. My neighbor in my freshmen dorm had it, and it's possibly one of the best posters ever. Hey, Tyrone deserved it then, just like most of the sheep on this board do. I don't understand your points. You can't hope to argue on the merits of my comments, instead you attacked my boy Tony Romo. That does not happen on my watch. Protect the franchise. This will make the next few Super Bowl wins all the more sweet, because I know the first place I can go to rub it in to all the naysayers who never thought Romo could play in this league. Last I checked, he was leading the mo-fo league in TDs, 3rd in QB rating. He's got 14 300 yard games in his 32 starts. A record of 23-9 after taking over for Bledsoe. Remember this about P. Manning. It took him a few games to get over the playoff hump, including a 41-0 loss to the Jets!!! E. Manning had one of the worst playoff performances ever vs. Carolina, throwing 3 of the worst picks this observer has ever seen. Romo has 2 TDs and 1 INT in this 2 close playoff losses. For this he is called a choker. That's why I lose it when I'm faced with ignorance.

Right. I don't remember saying that Romo was a choker. I said Peyton Manning was better than Tony Romo. As far as I can tell, that cannot be disputed at this point.

You might make the argument that Romo right now is better than Peyton was at the same stage of his career (I don't know anything there, I didn't look anything up), but as for who is better right now, it's absolutely Peyton.

I tried to argue the merits, but you went off talking about the Mets.

age or years in the league

Romo rode the pine for four years before he got in the fray...

Manning (peyton) might end up in the same place as Montana...did Montana make Rice great or Rice make Montana great (Yes there was Steve Young, but Montana also took the Chiefs to an AFC Championship game). So the question could be, Does Manning make Harrison great or vica versa...though last year might have squashed that

So does TO make Romo great? Because we know T.O.'s pretty good...
