I have to sit here, again and again, AND AGAIN and listen to some surly Cowboy fan not only insult my team (which doesn't bug me, I love trash talking, it's all in fun) and insult my intelligence only because I am an Eagles fan.
I know how my fellow fans get, trust me, I've gone to a game against the Boy Toys, and boy was I embarrassed at times. Thing is, of the 60000+ people there, you had maybe 1,000 doing anything wrong. Seriously, please, STOP. Not all Eagles fans are ignorant, stupid, drunk and know nothings. To be honest, unless you have been to an Eagles game, know more than 30 Eagles fans personally or are an Eagles fan yourself, you have no say. Well it's not that you have no say but your opinion is Skewered.
Now I want to just go over a few topics we happened to discuss about:
Terrence Newman: I seriously died when he talked to me about the Dallas #1 CB. He stated, and I quote "He's the best CB in the NFC". In the words of Dane Cook, when he met the might Kool-Aid Pitcher.."OH No...OH NO!" Newman is a good CB, I will never take that from him, he does an outstanding job, but the best in the NFC? He's not even the best in his division! I personally, and I am not being "homer"-ish about this, think Sheldon Brown is the best in the East. Just my opinion, but we can all agree it's not Newman right?
Eagles WRs vs Patrick Crayton: Now, I know, TO is a beast, no doubt, but seriously, Patrick Crayton? I quote "Patrick Crayton is by far better than all 5 of your receivers combined. He is a great WR". ...Um no? Crayton is like, TO Lite...half the calories, none of the skill(taste for those who don't catch on). I know we don't have a greeat receiver, but come on, we've done just fine with OK guys. I love DeSean Jackson, I'll admit it, man-crush all the way. I'm also a huge Avant and Baskett fan (FADE ROUTES PEOPLE COME ON). I have fallen off the Reggies brown wagon, and think Curtis would be better with another decent WR at his side. Crayton, isn't even in the same league as Curtis, hell not even Brown.
Super Bowls: Yes, you have 5, big deal...so do the 49ers and Steelers. Cookie anyone? Your last Super Bowl was in..what? 1995? I also know, for a fact, If(yes if) the Eagles were to win the big game this year, Cowboy fans would be crying and saying "who cares, we have 5 you have 1"....seriously? I could easily just say "well yea? we have won 3 championships before you won you're first title! 1948, 49 and 60 baby! Woo!" Come on now..
See? Every team has their own variation of my fellow fans. Ours are the original..yours are copies. Thieves...
(It's nice to be back and post. I found other things to do and forgot about this site until BBB15 board blasted me...heh)
