I'm a sports fanatic. I hail from Nelson County Virginia, and thats where I learned to be a Virginia Cavalier fan. I also learned to be a Dallas Cowboys fan because I hated how good the Redskins were doing. I've played sports at almost every level with the exception of being a fulltime professional, as a result I have a great perception on the sporting world. I love to talk sports and I've never been shy to share my opinion with someone.

After a nice and relaxing Holiday weekend, we are back in action, and dare I say better than ever. The summer has officially begun that means, plenty of downtime to wander completely off topic, not that there were any reservations about that to begin with. That being said, let’s see what comes up when we kick off another edition of Walker’s Rants.

Celtics and Pistons are tied two-two. I won't disagree that Detroit is the better team, but I'll leave it to all the Boston fans here to defend their team...

Vince Young's confession is impressive. It doesn't surprise me that a professional athlete was thinking about quitting. As fans, we forget, this is a year-round job for these guys. Their job sucks on all but sixteen days per year (more if they are lucky)...

Danica would have made a lot more money if she had won. Anyone who is anyone would have been pissed...

Sid the Kid is playing decently, but when nobody steps up to help, he gets doubled, then there is little he can do...

Good call on Barbaro, I had a brain slip on that name. RSL=Rugby Super League as in my league the top in the country. WR_C is Washing rugby Club as in my club on o the most storied in the country.

I agree with you on the Vince Young thing, every N_L player has had those thoughts, he just put them into words, but since he obviously didnt act on them, its really a non story in my eyes.

Also its not about college gridiron its about UVA gridiron and being in my hometown with my boys hanging out on the weekend, the game is actually secondary.
