Doc, Tito, BB. The Boston coaching triumvirate looks like they might be around for a while but it sure as hell took a while to find them. Before it just seemed like no one was good enough and sometimes they weren't, other times they went elsewhere and were 10x more successful than they were here. But lets look back at the coaches/managers that was.

Boston Red Sox

Kevin Kennedy (served 1995-1996)
High Points-Led Sox to first postseason appearance since 1990
Low Points-Didn't really have one, feel free to correct me in the comments
Where Are They Now- Just a broadcaster...on FOX Sports ewwww lol
Opinion- While I wasnt the biggest Sox fan back then, he was fired during a time where Sox managers were being shot down more times than Dick Cheney's hunting buddy, so I must presume he wasn't that badand it was only 2 seasons.

Jimy Williams (served 1997-2001)
High Points-Led Sox to back to back playoff appearances
Low Points-His inaugural season was atrocious
Where Are They Now-Bench coach for my other favorite team the Phillies, small world
Opinion- I think he was also wrongly canned (as we would all later see when Carl Everett proved to be a total douche) while he consistently led the Sox to mediocrity I think eventually they would've gotten over the hump plus anyone would've been better than....

Joe Kerrigan (served 2001)
High Points- He was a great pitching coach, even Pedro credits him with his sucess
Low Points- He came and stunk up the joint in only half a season
Where Are They Now-He was a pitching coach at Philadelphia, then a bullpen coach at the Yankees He was last spotted in a Rhode Island Wal Mart looking at Garden Hoses
Opinion- Considered how Jimy was canned, he was never going to be known as anymore that Duquette's b*tch. Maybe winning might've changed it but he didn't so the hell with him.

Grady Little (served 2002-2003)
High Points- Two consecutive 90+ win seasons, led Sox to game 7 of ALCS
Low Points- Why didn't you take Pedro out, wasn't that WHY you went out to the mound in the first place and then you put in Wakefield who he himself doesn't even know where the hell that knuckleball is headed once it leaves his hand...

okay calming down...

Where Are They Now- Got another managing gig at the Dodgers, grabbed a couple Sox players to make him feel more comfortable but never did much of anything got canned he decided to resign and was replaced with the the same guy that cost him his job in Boston.
Opinion-All he had to do was take him out, I liked Grady, the players like Grady but then again before 2004, Sox fans were waaaaaay less forgiving

Terry Francona (served 2004-Present)
High Points- 2 World Series in 4 Years!!!!!
Low Points- While I don't blame him, someone must be responsible for the 2006 debacle
Where Are They Now- Ready to kick off the 2008 season--in America this time.
Opinion- Emmitt Smith would say Tito inherit this sucess, and true he did have a team right on the brink of winning a pennant and then they went and upgraded. Tito is 22-9 in the postseason and with a contract extension that runs through 2011 with options for the 2012, 2013 season, its safe to say Tito will be here for a while.

Boston Celtics

M.L. Carr (served 1995-1997)
High Points- As a player he helped a title for Boston but I wasn't born yet so I have to say none
Low Points- Tanking 1996-1997 season for Tim Duncan and not getting him
Where Are They Now-Currently an investor in the Charlotte Bobcats
Opinion-Before Isiah, the most incompetent GM and coach in the NBA had to be M.L. Carr

Rick Pitino (served 1997-2001)
High Points- Drafting Paul Pierce I guess....
Low Points- Didn't even get to taste the postseason in his time
Where Are They Now- Now a sucessful coach at University of Louisville, took his team to the elite 8 (as I predicted by the way)
Opinion- He is soo good at Louisville so wtf happened here. SMH

Jim O'Brien (served 2001-2004)
High Points- 2001-2002 season, we were so damn close...
Low Points- None, I liked O'Brien
Where Are They Now- Unable to deal with GM Danny Ainge he resigned. He went to Philadelphia led them to the playoffs and got fired for no good reason, now in Indiana even with their abysmal roster they could possibly sneak in the playoffs as an 8 seed.
Opinion- O'Brien has won everywhere he has gone, I hope he will win a championship somewhere else.

John Caroll (served 2004)
High Points- None.
Low Points- Got swept in first round
Where Are They Now- Hopefully making minimum wage somewhere
Opinion- Wasn't going to like him regardless...turned out to be awful anyway sort of like Joe Kerrigan

Doc Rivers (served 2004-Present)
High Points- Didn't screw up this season....yet
Low Points- 24 wins...24 *bleeping* wins
Where Are They Now- Reaping the benefits of having 3 all stars on his team
Opinion- He's great with the young guys but as a coach overall he's pretty average

New England Patriots

Rod Rust (served 1990)
High Points- None
Low Points- Led Pats to a 1-15 season
Where Are They Now- Bouncing around the CFL, still can't get it right
Opinion- 1-15 what can you possibly say about him

Dick MacPherson (served 1991-1992)
High Points- Was an upgrade over Rust, led Pats to 6-10 record
Low Points- Led Pats to 2-14 record in his second season
Where Are They Now- In college hall of fame for coaching job at Syracuse
Opinion- Clearly he sucked.

Bill Parcells (served 1993-1996)
High Points- Led Patriots to Super Bowl XXXI
Low Points- The whole Jets incident...
Where Are They Now- Never took Jets to Super Bowl, went to Dallas but never won a playoff game with them now is currently trying to fix the mess in Miami
Opinion- I agreed that he should've had some say in player personnel but the whole tampering incident stuck with me for a while, I pulled for him to win in Dallas but never was able to. So sad.

Pete Carroll (Served 1997-1999)
High Points- Went to playoffs first two seasons
Low Points- Lost 6 of last 8 games in 1998-1999 season
Where Are They Now- Went on to become a sucessful coach at USC and has so many NFL teams drooling over him you would think he was going to the draft next month.
Opinion- Obviously, Parcells was a tough act to follow but Carroll never really stood out as a leader to me

Bill Belichick (Served 2000-Present)
High Points- 3 Super Bowl victories in 4 years, 16-0 regular season
Low Points- Spygate
Where Are They Now- Currently looking at draft prospects and cutting the sleeves off his hoodies
Opinion- One of the greatest coaches in NFL History in my opinion.

Nice stroll down memory lane, even though most of the pre-Belichick/pre-Francona guys sucked (Parcells didn't suck as much as he was a douche, but still).

That was actually a little harsh... Coach Mac was a good guy at least, and a great college coach. Same with Carroll. And I also liked O'Brien... I always thought he got a raw deal from Ainge, who for some reason didn't think we needed the good defense Obie brings everywhere he coaches.

Meanwhile, Doc needs to thank God every day for KG, because his ass was about be canned before the trades this summer.

Great reminder how everything in the Sports World was better pre-2000... Now Chicagoans can look at their teams and have reason to believe they can be the next group of nonsense-spewing, loudmouthed, know-nothing, bandwagon driving, over-hyping pseudo-fans. Awesome...

The lowpoint for BB is just spygate... What about the whole jets incident himself, or the weird hugs he has with people...mangini for example, or his roided safety, or leaving the super bowl early or...

"But sir, the New York Giants quarterback is Eli Manning--"

"Exactly! Eli Manning, not Peyton f*cking Manning!"

"Well, maybe Eli Manning is better than Peyton."

"Yeah, and maybe Kobe is better than Jordan... Are you f*cking nuts? Eli SUCKS!"
