ALL-STAR RESERVES ANNOUNCED

East

F: Toronto Raptors Chris Bosh: Bosh had a funny promo video trying to get him a spot and it worked. He also got this spot because of his 22.7 PPG and 9.1 RPG. Toronto is 25-20, and in the playoff picture. They may not catch the Celtics, but they should be a playoff team.

F: Boston Celtics Paul Pierce: Pierce has 20.1 PPG, 5.0 APG and 5.7 RPG this season, as he has been part of the Big 3 of the new Celtics. They are 35-8, and even though Ray Allen didn't make the team, Pierce and KG will represent. This losing skid hasn't helped.

G: Detroit Pistons Chauncey Billups: Chauncey is a top notch all-star. Year-in and year-out, he has put up all-star numbers and continues to be deserving.

G: Detroit Pistons Richard Hamilton: Pure shooter, pure scorer. Rip is a lethal threat and the eas tis happy to have the leagues best off the ball player.

F: Washington Wizards Caron Butler: Butler has stepped up big with Gilbert Arenas out. The Wiz are in 6th place and it has been because of Caron's play.

F: Washington Wizards Antawn Jamison: Just like Butler, Jamison has been key to the Wizards turn around from the 0-for start. Him and Caron form a great front line, and are deserving.

G: Atlanta Hawks Joe Johnson: The Hawks are in the playoff picture as well. It's too bad they aren't clicking as well as some pre-season writters thought. Still, Johnson scores a lot and deserves the birth.

West:

G: Phoenix Suns Steve Nash- Mr. Basketball. Two-Time NBA MVP, make s the all-star team again. He is leading the Suns to the top of the Western Conference again, and his numbers aren't too shabby.

G: New Orleans Hornets Chris Paul: Until yesterday the Hornets were the best team in the west. 21/10 for this young stud. He has made almost as big of an impact as LeBron and Carmelo, just in a different way. The home crowd will love this.

F: Dallas Mavericks Dirk Nowitzki: Dirk shoots the ball as well as anyone, and has lead the Mavs to the top again. Who knows...maybe they will get Jason Kidd and run the table.

F: Utah Jazz Carlos Boozer: 4th in West. His 4th straight all-star game. Boozer has moved on from the contract debacle in Cleveland and is now a premier front-court NBA Player.

C: Phoenix Suns Amare Stoudemire: Exciting! That is a word that sums up Amare. He scores, he rebounds and he runs. He is ideal for an all-star game. He likes to smile and have fun too.

G: Portland Trail Blazers Brandon Roy: Leadership. He is a second-year player who has lead his team from #1 overall-pick, to the playoff picture. At 26-19, the Blazers are playing at a high level, and even though Roy is averaging 19 and 6, he is a legit all-star.

F: New Orleans Hornets David West: 19 and 9 is impressive. This former 1st-Round Pick is legit and playing alongside Chris Paul has helped. Great inside scorer and definitely deserves the all-star selection.

There They Are! What Does Everyone Think?

Who Got Snubbed? Marcus Camby? Baron Davis? Josh Howard? Chris Kaman? Tyson Chandler? Jose Calderon? Michael Redd? Gerald Wallace? Hedo Turkoglu?

My biggest snub is Al Jefferson. I know my Wolves are REALLY bad, but Big Al is one of two players averaging at least 20 points and 10 rebounds (Dwight Howard).

Maybe every team should get an All-Star.

I was discussing who would win the All-Star game with a couple of my friends 2 days ago. 4 of us are East fans, but I actually have the common sense to say that the West will demolish the East. Kevin Garnett can't change a 153-132 score by himself.

It is ridiculous how Marcus Camby and Baron Davis aren't on the team. That just goes to show how amazing the West is going to be. Good luck, East.

My Pre-Cal teacher (big basketball fan) and I were talking about this. Jose Calderon is well deserving, but we both agreed that he wouldn't make it.

From my perspective, I said that he's a good point guard, but Chauncey Billups is better than he is. So, he'll get the spot.

Sorry, I meant that Chauncey Billups is a better player than he is, not a better point guard. Billups is a shoint guard, or a pooting guard, if you know what I mean.

I thought everyone complianed about Sheed's hotboxing of hotel rooms, but it's actually the pooting guard that is the root of all the stink!

A little while ago, I suggested that the NHL All Star Game should be played outdoors.

Perhaps the NBA should do the same.

In Milwaukee.

Milwaukee doesnt' do it for me Tyrone Briggs. Since 90% of these athletes think they are gansta's why not have the game played in the 'hood somewhere? Let's pick a place in LA right on the border of the bloods and the crips and see what happens. Also ask every media person to attend in person (this of course includes EVERY person affiliated with ESPN)

I don't think you've ever been to intercity Milwaukee Frank, you would have a hell of a time keeping your wallet. Moreover, what do you mean they want to act all gangsta? Do you know what the hell your talking about? Considering that many more NFL players are in trouble with the law outside of strip clubs and in DUI and drinking related incidents. But you know, your the athority on thugs, and LA gangbanging and everything. I bet you didn't know that LA's biggest gang problem by far is Latinos did ya Frank? Did you know that the MS-13 hunt and murder innocent Blacks because they "don't belong on Latino territory". Man, way to run off at the mouth though.

Definitely. Hedo's my boy too. He and Dwight Howard are great, and are the only two reasons why I love the Magic so much. (As in 2nd favorite team)

O have no choice but to be a fan of Orlando because I go there all of the time. And plus that's the only good team to watch, besides my UCF football team! But Hedo is turning into a clutch performer this year. He's so underrated

I'm sorry, but I have lost interest in the NBA All Star game as soon as they let the fans choose. Fans will refuse to be objective, that's why Dwyane Facking Wade on a 11 win Heat team can make STARTER for the Eastern Conference. That's why it bumps very good players like Turkoglu and Calderon off the All Star team.
