Just a thought, you don't consider strength of schedule in the rankings? If GT can somehow manage an upset in week 2, and if Miami can do the same in week 9, Miami and GT could be playing for the title on Nov 20th.

No, the rankings are on a pure talent basis, based on a weighted average of the unit scores. So it's certainly possible that a team could finish higher than another just by SOS differences, even if they're less talented. I probably should have looked at the schedules and come up with some projected records, but I like the idea of ranking based on total team talent.

And, yeah, I'd certainly be happy if we were playing Miami for the Coastal title in November. :)

College football n00b here... Is this the same Miami that players like Ray Lewis and a stack load of other great NFL players have come from?

The transformer/deceptacon whatever he calls himself. I remember watching CJ torch us on a Thursday night. But everyone knew he was a stud I don't think Ga Tech snuck up on anyone that season.

Not bad DW, but my ACC preview rolls out either tomorrow or Thursday depending on a couple things. Nonetheless on the UVA front, Lalich is not completely new. He played in 8 games last year. In addition they have also changed their scheme on O. Also the receiving game has changed. Olgetree has returned from injury and will aid a subpar game last year. But that's enough from me, you can read the rest when I release it.
