Art Strahan (Arthur Ray Strahan) was born on July 17, 1943 in Newton, Texas. After going to high school at Booker T. Washington, Strahan attended Texas Southern University. Strahan made his professional debut in the AFL in 1965 with the Houston Oilers. He played in the AFL for 1 year, playing for the Houston Oilers the entire time. Strahan also played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Atlanta Falcons the entire time.
