Art Parks (Artie William Parks) was born on November 1, 1911 in Paris, Arkansas. He made his Major League debut on September 25, 1937 for the Brooklyn Dodgers. In 1939, his rookie year, he hit .272 with 1 home run and 19 RBI. Parks played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 2 year career.
