Art Koeninger (Arthur Frank Koeninger) was born on November 1, 1906 in Roscoe, Pennsylvania. After going to high school at California (Coal Center, PA), Koeninger attended the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga. Koeninger made his professional debut in the NFL in 1931 with the Frankford Yellow Jackets. He played for the Philadelphia Eagles, Staten Island Stapletons and Frankford Yellow Jackets over the course of his 3 year career.

Most people believe that 1932 was Art Koeninger's best year.
