Art Garvey (Arthur A. Garvey) was born on February 20, 1900 in Holyoke, Massachusetts. Garvey attended the University of Notre Dame. Garvey made his professional debut in the NFL in 1922 with the Chicago Bears. He played in the NFL for 7 years, playing for the Chicago Bears, New York Giants, Staten Island Stapletons, Brooklyn Dodgers and Providence Steam Roller over the course of his 7 year NFL career.Garvey also played in the AFLG for 1 year, playing for the New York Yankees the entire time.
