Born on September 3, 1883 in Quincy, Illinois, Art Fromme (Arthur Henry Fromme) played for the St. Louis Cardinals, Cincinnati Reds and New York Giants over the course of his 10 year career. Fromme broke into the bigs on September 14, 1906 with the St. Louis Cardinals, and put up a 2.90 ERA in 145.2 innings pitched in 1907, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Art Fromme's best season was 1909, when he posted a 1.90 ERA, won 19 games and struck out 126 batters.
