Art Elston (Arthur Warren Elston) was born on October 19, 1918 in Texhoma, Texas. After going to high school at Waite (Toledo, OH), Elston attended the University of South Carolina. Elston made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Cleveland Rams. He played in the NFL for 1 year, playing for the Cleveland Rams the entire time. Elston also played in the AAFC for 3 years, playing for the San Francisco 49ers the entire time.
Most people believe that 1942 was Art Elston's best year.
