Art Deremer (Arthur M. Deremer) was born on December 16, 1917 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. Deremer attended the University of Niagra. Deremer made his professional debut in the NFL in 1942 with the Brooklyn Dodgers. He played for the Brooklyn Dodgers for his entire 1 year career.
Deremer became the first athletic director and head football coach for the Charlotte Center of the University of North Carolina (now UNC Charlotte) in 1946.
