Art Croft (Arthur F. Croft) was born on January 23, 1855 in St. Louis, Missouri. He made his Major League debut on May 4, 1875 for the St. Louis Red Stockings. In 1877, his rookie year, he hit .232 with 0 home runs and 27 RBI. Croft played for the St. Louis Red Stockings, St. Louis Brown Stockings and Indianapolis Blues over the course of his 3 year career.
