Art Butler (Arthur Edward Butler) was born on December 19, 1887 in Fall River, Massachusetts. He made his Major League debut on April 14, 1911 for the Boston Rustlers. In 1912, his rookie year, he hit .273 with 1 home run and 17 RBI. Butler played for the Boston Rustlers, Pittsburgh Pirates and St. Louis Cardinals over the course of his 6 year career.

Most people believe that Art Butler's best season was 1915, when he stole 26 bases.
