Armchair GM Fantasy League UPDATE!

Hey everyone. Alex Holowczak and I have decided to start up a Fantasy Football League on Yahoo this summer. The draft would have to be during the early-mid part of August. Also, the draft would more than likely be live rather than automatic.

• Those in favor of starting up a league, please post with either a "Yes" or "No".

• Roblefko has contacted a few users about starting a weekly column. If you are interested in signing up for a weekly column, please post that as well.

• There has been some vulgar language on here as of late. I apologize for coming off as bossy, but the general consensus is that users are not in favor of such language.

• This site has almost reached 800 users! Way to go, guys. Let's keep the site going strong.

If anyone has any other news they would like to report, go ahead. Take care guys, have a great weekend.

Okay, the league name is ArmChairGm Allstars and the password is acgm. The ID# is 200497 the league will fit 14 teams right now, and if more people apply, i will edit the league accordingly

I agree with the language thing. Anyone who knows me knows Im not an angel but when it comes to this site, I know there are kids who come here and read some of the stuff. So lets make an effort to clean it up a bit. Plus anyone can make a point when they are dropping f-bombs and other language.

Yes I'm interested and that means good news for all of you. I also tentatively agreed to do some All-Time Teams for the weekly deal. Not sure how good I'll do as a lot of people seemed to make more suggestions to what I missed in the Big Ten one than pat me on the back for what I did have.

Maybe we need a Kangaroo Court to punish bad behavior and profanity? Every good clubhouse has one... Make 'em do charity or a chunk of editing/definitions.

Well, then apparently this is completely separate. I was referring to DNL's system that's being devised in his monthly threads "Help Create the Ultimate Fantasy League". Anyway, what sort of style do you use in your fantasy league? IDP? No defense? I might think about getting into this one but I don't want to over-commit (well, actually I do...! :) )

Count me in for Fantasy Football... I usually do between 8-12 leagues anyways... would rather be a part of a league with people that I either know or sort of know via a message board/sports blog site/know in person/etc than a random league on Yahoo with welllll yahoos - you know the type - 1/2 the managers go idle for weeks and the league becomes dead...

If you need anymore people, I would be in for fantasy football. I also like DNL's idea of using FantasyAuctioneer, but I would do I live draft on Yahoo as well.
