The Rays meaningless win off sets the Suns meaningless loss for me.

I'm just a different kind of fan. I don't live on the edge of "OH MY GOD< WE LOST THE GAME TONIGHT!"

I see today, now, this moment, the present as a viewpoint in the middle of a period of time and reserve my judgements for how things affect that period of time more than how it affects RIGHT NOW! Look around, a loss to the Pistons isn't going to change what got the Suns to where they are.

The Pistons were motivated (and O!F, the Pistons - the Cavs will stomp them out of the playoffs anyway), the Suns weren't. It's actually a good thing when the Suns lose. Mike D'Antoni sends messages. He manipulates his team in ways people don't notice. If you watched the game (I'm sure you didn't) Mike packed it in by halfway through the third. He wasn't going to wear out his stars with two 16 point comebacks in 3 nights, nor another 2OTs... He pulled the Pat Burke lever and ran a glorified practice from there out.

They "worked" on plays in real game situations and really didn't seem to care about the score. Coach Mike let them know that everyone is gunning for them... time to swallow your pride and work. And he made them work.

I know the Suns weren't trying. There's no way the Pistons should win against PHX in a close game. But, the thing is, during Basketball season, my teams are the Wolves (whom I've stopped following in order to protest McHale) and the Heat (Who treat the Regular season as a really long Pre Season)
