Armando Benitez to Face Mets Even More

The SF Chronicle is reporting that Armando Benitez is going to be traded to the Florida Marlins.  As a Mets fan, the prospect of more ninth inning chokefests against Blownitez makes me a happy person.

No reports yet on how many balls will be in the sack that the San Francisco Giants will get in return for Benitez and his $7m+ annual salary this year.

The Giants kicked in 4.7 million of his salary, but only gave Florida two balls. Or one player, depending on your point of view.

Sad. He's not bad, just can't handle the pressure. It's mental. Put him in the game in the 8th and he's incredible. Just ask the 1999 Mets.

About as useful out of the pen as Jorge Julio. I generally don't wish career failure on someone, but in Armando's case, I'll make an exception.
