Born on October 26, 1972 in El Paso, Texas, Armando Almanza (Armando Almanza) played for the Florida Marlins, Atlanta Braves and Arizona Diamondbacks over the course of his 7 year career. Almanza broke into the bigs on July 29, 1999 with the Florida Marlins, and put up a 6.08 ERA in 50.1 innings pitched in 2003, his rookie year.
