Anyone consider Barry Bonds won't break the record?

Sure he's at 753 home runs, sure the Giants have LOST 753 games in the process, but all I'm hearing is when he breaks the record. How about if? What if he has a career ending injury before he gets to 756? What happens if he ends up not getting any more HR's the rest of the year (highly unlikely, but it's possible)? What if he suddenly retires? I don't understand everyone's certainty that he will break Hank Aaron's record. Not a single analyst I've heard was uncertain that Bonds would make history. Barry is human you know. Even if he did take steroids, he is still human. Take into consideration, that every pitcher may start walking him once he gets to 754. I have no opinion on the steroids thing, but why are we putting him under so much scrutiny, when Jason Giambi did the same thing? I'd love to see him break the record, being a Bay Area native and all. But it should be known, it's not a guarantee that he'll pass Henry Aaron.
