Anticipation (ALCS)

by BoSox Buzz

The anticipation of the first ALCS game is killing me! It is a real treat to see the Red Sox back in fighting for another pennant...nonetheless going against a team other than the New York Yankees. I guess it is good timing to I am back on track with both this blog and our home site at http://www.bosoxbuzz.com/. I have been putting a lot of work and effort into it. Learning quite a bit at the same time as well!

On to the match-up. I think ESPNs' Mike & Mike put it best, "Red Sox big bats sprinkled with good pitching and Cleveland's big arms sprinkled with good hitting match up so evenly were sure to get a heck of a series!"

This series in my opinion can go one of two ways for the Red Sox. They go out and sweep or it goes seven. I just don't see any alternatives. It just seems to be one of those series. I think the game 3 & 4 pitchers will really tell us where we will fall. It is obvious you have strength for strength in games 1 & 2 with both sets of starting pitchers. But in games 3 & 4 it's too hard to call. Really this could go down as an exciting series!

Hey and a note to all the people out in the west...GO WATCH SOME GOOD BASEBALL! I could not believe driving into work today listening to ESPN radio that Arizona did not sell out game one of there playoff game. Hey listen if you haven't been paying attention these teams are outstanding! That may go down as one of the best series of all time! it doesn't take a genius to figure out those teams are on a roll and matched up almost dead even. If I was from either city and those were my teams I would surely be out there at a game. And with how pro sports are today it's no guarantee those teams will be there again anytime soon!

On another note...I read the book Teammates: A Portrait of a Friendship (by, David Halberstam) and it was incredible. I am sure a lot of you Red Sox fans who have read this book felt the same way I did after reading it. I was so into it i sat down and read the entire book in one sitting. If you like old baseball stories and hark for the days when baseball was still just a game were friendships are made and time is cherished go get this book today!

Well hopefully tomorrow gets here fast!

Peace and Happiness, GO SOX! -Michael www.bosoxbuzz.com
