Anthony Newman (Anthony Q. Newman) was born on November 21, 1965 in Bellingham, Washington. After going to high school at Beavrton (OR), Newman attended the University of Oregon. Newman made his professional debut in the NFL in 1988 with the Los Angeles Rams. He played for the Los Angeles Rams, New Orleans Saints and Oakland Raiders over the course of his 12 year career.

Most people believe that 1992 was Anthony Newman's best year, as he picked off 4 passes and recovered 3 opponents fumbles.
