Anse Moore (Anselm Winn Moore) was born on September 22, 1917 in Delhi, Louisiana. He made his Major League debut on April 17, 1946 for the Detroit Tigers. In 1946, his rookie year, he hit .209 with 1 home run and 8 RBI. Moore played for the Detroit Tigers for his entire 1 year career.
