Another First For The Mavs, Defeat The Clippers 96-86

Monday Night At The American Airlines Center, The Dallas Mavericks Defeated The Los Angeles Clippers 96-86. With the win, the Mavericks secured the best record in the NBA, clinching home court advantage throughout the playoffs, another first for a franchise going through an incredible regular season.

In this contest, the Dallas Mavericks broke out to a lead and never trailed in the game after midway through the first quarter.

When the starters were on the floor, Dirk Nowitzki led the Mavericks with 26 points and 6 rebounds. When the bench came on the floor, Jerry Stackhouse and Devin Harris stepped up, scoring 18 and 14 points respectively.

If the playoffs started today, the Mavericks and Clippers would face off in the first round. Thus, Monday's game showed that the Mavericks should have an easy time with the Clippers if those standings should hold into next week when the regular season finally ends.

Also, keep track of that final playoff spot in the West as Golden State looks to take away the 8th seed and make life interesting for the Mavs, as they have already beaten the NBA's best team twice in the regular season.
