Angels Win in the 11th

Minnesota Twins 3 Los Angeles Angels 4 (May 29, 2006)

The Los Angeles Angels got thier first extra inning victory of the season by defeating the Minnesota Twins 4-3 in Anaheim.

Orlando Cabrera who went 3-5 on the night, drove in the winning run in the 11th with a single after a failed pickoff attempt allowed Chone Figgins to move from first to third. Jesse Crain (0-3) who threw the ball in the dirt trying to hold [[Chone Figgins|Figgins] on first, took the loss, while Scot Shields (3-3) who pitched the 11th got the win.

The night featured quality starts by both John Lackey (8 IP, 7 H, 3 R, 2 ER, 1 BB, 7 K) and Brad Radke (6 IP, 7 H, 2 R, 2 ER, 3 BB, 4 K) but neither factored in the decision.

Michael Cuddyer hit his 7th home run of the year in a game that featured RBIs by Jason Kubel(2), Cuddyer(23), and Rondell White(14) for Minnesota and Garret Anderson(28,29), Figgins(16) and Cabrera(32) for the Angels.
