Andy Rice (Andrew Rice) was born on September 6, 1940 in Hallettsville, Texas. After going to high school at Steven Mays (Hallettsville, TX), Rice attended Texas Southern University. Rice made his professional debut in the AFL in 1966 with the Kansas City Chiefs. He played in the AFL for 4 years, playing for the Cincinnati Bengals and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 4 year AFL career.Rice also played in the NFL for 4 years, playing for the Chicago Bears and San Diego Chargers over the course of his 4 year NFL career.

Most people believe that 1969 was Andy Rice's best year.
