Andy Miketa (Andrew John Miketa) was born on November 1, 1929 in Girard, Ohio. After going to high school at Ambridge (PA), Miketa attended the University of North Carolina. Miketa made his professional debut in the NFL in 1954 with the Detroit Lions. He played for the Detroit Lions for his entire 2 year career.
