Andy Marefos (Andrew Gust Marefos) was born on July 16, 1917 in San Francisco, California. After going to high school at Mission (San Francisco, CA), Marefos attended St. Mary's College of California. Marefos made his professional debut in the NFL in 1941 with the New York Giants. He played in the NFL for 2 years, playing for the New York Giants the entire time. Marefos also played in the AAFC for 1 year, playing for the Los Angeles Dons the entire time.

Most people believe that 1941 was Andy Marefos's best year.
