Andy Hawkins (Anthony James Hawkins) was born on March 31, 1958 in Bay City, Texas. After going to high school at Van Vleck (TX), Hawkins attended Texas Agricultural and Mechanical University-Kingsville. Hawkins made his professional debut in the NFL in 1980 with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He played for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Diego Chargers and Kansas City Chiefs over the course of his 7 year career.

Most people believe that 1983 was Andy Hawkins's best year.
