Andy Bowling (Andrew Walter Bowling) was born on September 25, 1945 in Lynchburg, Virginia. After going to high school at E.C. Glass (Lynchburg, VA), Bowling attended Virginia Polytechnic Institute. Bowling made his professional debut in the NFL in 1967 with the Atlanta Falcons. He played for the Atlanta Falcons for his entire 1 year career.
