Born on July 11, 1967 in Kansas City, Missouri, Andy Ashby (Andrew Jason Ashby) played for the Philadelphia Phillies, San Diego Padres, Colorado Rockies, Atlanta Braves and Los Angeles Dodgers over the course of his 14 year career. Ashby broke into the bigs on June 10, 1991 with the Philadelphia Phillies, and put up a 6.80 ERA in 123 innings pitched in 1993, his rookie year.

Most people believe that Andy Ashby's best season was 1998, when he posted a 3.34 ERA, won 17 games and struck out 151 batters.
