Anderson Hernandez (Anderson Mejia Hernandez) was born on October 30, 1982 in Santo Domingo, Distrito Nacional (Dominican Republic). He made his Major League debut on September 18, 2005 for the New York Mets. Hernandez played for the New York Mets for his entire 2 year career.
