An Idea For the Yankees

To clarify I have not heard this, this is more of an idea than anything else, but someone needs to start it, and it might as well be me. How about the Yankees signing Aaron Rowand to play center, letting the mercurial Bobby Abreu go (saving about 16 million bucks), moving Melky Cabrera to right and leaving Damon and Matsui to play left and DH, respectively? I mean seriously, to me Aaron Rowand is the right handed version of Paul O'Neill, and I feel as though it is no coincidence that the Yankees have not won a World Series since O'Neill retired. Rowand has proved his worth in runs with both Chicago White Sox and Philadelphia Phillies, the Yankees need some grit, and they need it badly. If you can couple this with a signing of Mike Lowell to play third, dumping Jason Giambi on anyone (obviously by paying most of his salary next year). In all of this furor over A-Rod and Girardi, I think this obvious move is really being missed. Does anyone see this as a good move?
