An Alternative to Sunday Football

If you are deeply worried about this, and are not able to watch the game on TV, I recommend to you a great battle that pits two of the best drivers in the world against each other.
Michael Schumacher and Fernando Alonso have been involved in a great championship battle for the title of World Champion (a genuine title, before you ask).
A quick glance at the 2006 Drivers' Championship Standings shows that Alonso has a 10 point lead over Schumacher with only one race remaining.
This race is the Brazilian Grand Prix, at the historic InterlagosWith Schumacher retiring after this race, the 7 times World Champion is looking to bow out on a high after one of the most famous and storied careers of any sportsman in the world.
The 38 year old was level in the standings until the last race, in Suzuka, but an engine failure (The first Ferrari engine to fail since 2001 in Indianapolis!) forced him to retire from the race and give the win to Alonso.
This means that realistically, Schumacher has to win the race, and Alonso has to not finish, or finish lower than eighth place (for which he would gain a point). If Schumacher wins, and Alonso is lower than eighth, Schumacher is champion due to winning more races.
This might sound a very unlikely scenario though. But there's still a chance.
If the two Ferrari's can get infront of Alonso, Schumacher may use his team-mate Felipe Massa to have an accident with Fernando Alonso to force both into retirement, and hence give Schumacher a chance. Schumacher has a history of that sort of thing. He has been part of a lot of antics in recent years, as you can see here. (Look at the bit about Schumacher's bad side).
Nonetheless, it will be the final chance to see arguably the best racer of all time bow out of Formula One, even if he does not retire as Champion.
What's more, it's at a viewable time for the US audience. The race starts on Sunday at 6pm British Summer Time, which is likely to be 2pm Eastern Time. So if your team has a bye week, or you cannot see your team, there is something else you can watch on a Sunday afternoon that may prove to be a great spectacle. Or to see Schumacher's farewell.
So if you have nothing better to do on a Sunday afternoon, I recommend watching the end of the Formula One World Championship.
