Amos Strunk (Amos Aaron Strunk) was born on January 22, 1889 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He made his Major League debut on September 24, 1908 for the Philadelphia Athletics. In 1911, his rookie year, he hit .256 with 1 home run and 21 RBI. Strunk played for the Philadelphia Athletics, Boston Red Sox and Chicago White Sox over the course of his 17 year career.

Most people believe that Amos Strunk's best season was 1916, when he hit for a .316 average.
