American Football (Soccer) Announcing

Hey everyone, it's time for another article I wrote 2 weeks ago that I want to show here. Why? Because I've got writer's block.
On June 9th I decided to watch the Gold Cup match between Trinidad and Tobago vs. the USA on Fox Soccer Channel. The announcers were DC United announcer Dave Johnson and analyst Paul Caligiuri, who is only famous because of the goal he scored against Trinidad and Tobago back in 1989 to get the US back to the World Cup. So with that in mind, let's sum up their performance in two words. Utter Crap! Why is it that every time I listen to an American announcer (especially those guys at ESPN), they are terrible?
Caligiuri said that El Salvador was out of the Gold Cup after losing to Guatemala. The problem with that, is that El Salvador was 1-1-0, and the tournament uses the third place knockout stage. It took him until the end of the 2-0 US win to fix that statement. As for Dave Johnson, he has found a way to make every cross from the US sound exciting. That would be good, but at least 6-8 of those crosses were either headed out, caught by the goalkeeper, or went out of play. The worst part of the game, was having to hear Dave Johnson's goal call. You'll see the video later on AGM members.
I envy the British, the Australians, and even the Canadians, their announcers for soccer are better than ours by 5 country miles. You'd think if I had a choice between listening to Martin Tyler, or any other American announcer, I'd pick an American announcer? Do us a favor ESPN, Fox Soccer Channel, and ABC, do what the Canadians and the Aussies do, get the British announcers please?
Video 1: Dave Johnson stupid goal call.
Video 2: Canadian announcers Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest calling Toronto FC vs. Red Bull New York.
Video 3: Martin Tyler's Geeeeeerrrrrrrraaaaaarrrrrrrrrddddd! And Andy Gray blatantly rooting for Liverpool.
