Alvin Maxson (Alvin Earl Maxson) was born on November 12, 1951 in Beaumont, Texas. After going to high school at Hebert (Beaumont, TX), Maxson attended Southern Methodist University. Maxson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1974 with the New Orleans Saints. He played for the New Orleans Saints, Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Pittsburgh Steelers over the course of his 5 year career.
Most people believe that 1974 was Alvin Maxson's best year, as he ran for 714 yards and hauled in 42 receptions.
