Alvin Haymond (Alvin Henry Haymond) was born on August 31, 1942 in New Orleans, Louisiana. After going to high school at L.B. Landry (New Orleans, LA), Haymond attended Southern University. Haymond made his professional debut in the NFL in 1964 with the Baltimore Colts. He played for the Baltimore Colts, Los Angeles Rams, Houston Oilers, Washington Redskins and Philadelphia Eagles over the course of his 10 year career.
Most people believe that 1965 was Alvin Haymond's best year, as he picked off 3 passes, ran back an interception for a touchdown, had 403 punt return yards and had 614 kick return yards.
