Alvie Thompson (Alvie Gunder Thompson) was born on January 27, 1901 in Cambridge, Nebraska. After going to high school at Cambridge (NE), Thompson attended Lombard College and the University of Nebraska. Thompson made his professional debut in the NFL in 1925 with the Kansas City Cowboys. He played for the Kansas City Cowboys for his entire 2 year career.
