by user Manny Stiles ArmchairGM.com - let's get some GM talk in here! It's easy to play along...
Are the D Backs sellers? Ya can't have Webb, Who wants Shawn Green? Is there a contender who could use "nice guys don't 'roid rage" Luis Gonzales (as a DH?). Arizona was trying to be a buyer for just a little while (Yeah..pfft - Dontrelle Willis!, Oooohh Kaaay) before they choked on a pile of Jason Grimsley-sized sack of turdchunks (Now with extra JUICE!!!) and lost 123 out of their last 44 games. Yes, that's how bad they've sucked...
What divisions do you think the winner has it locked up? That Mets lead HAS to be the safest right?? Who is willing to bet on the Mets (theoretical $ only as this is not a gambling site)??? They'll be leaping off of tall building like superman after David Wright trips over Kryptonite in September. He finds out the romance of baseball leaves a lot of broken hearts and busted parts.
There's a lot of trades to be mades this year... DON'T be surprised if an injury to a key played affects a playoff spot!!! It just 'feels' like one of those years, eh?
So... Marquis Daniels and Keith Van Horn for Austin Croshere? Would you do it? Well, pipe down readers of the book of Isaih: The Mavs essentially did. Then again, Michael Finley really disappeared in the Finals for them!!!
Tyson Chandler and J.R. Smith both needed a change of scenery: Concensus? Or did they both need to go to college first? Or maybe they both didn't need to suck? Seriously I wish them both lotsa luck, I'm glad Chandler isn't a Sun...J.R. Smith will look cool wearing old #45's old numb....oops!
The Chunky curse is starting to freak me out...
Before Game 1 of the 2006-07 NBA season, Dwayne Wade is scheduled to be awarded free throws for all of the times people fouled him over the summer. Whether it's a ticky-tack cough in his direction or even if it's not a foul at all, he gets up each time!!!
What is the WORST sports injury you witnessed in person??? I saw a guy die shagging batting practice fly balls. He was from Japan and he collided with another outfielder who wasn't calling "I got it!" in japanese...Popppp! Shoulder to Temple (also the school) head-on collision - arms and legs flew everywhere. It sounded like hitting a fungo. He fell over and never woke up.
Johnny Damon-Damian Jackson and Beltran/Cameron, both LOOKED like they were worse!!! I don't like seeing people get hit in the head really, really hard. Of course, I've had too manny concussions of my own. (It HURTS being tall, hyper and clumsy)
I once threw a passed ball/wild pitch that my catcher ended up blocking home plate; standing up and the runner slid into his leg and ***SNAP*** - compound fracture of the tibia and fibula. BLOOD n' Ambulances /That was nasty. Crazy stuff...Anyway, some say I'm a topper, well that's the best I gots...now you can talk about it too...
So the question remains -
What was the worst sports injury you witnessed LIVE???
We'll raise awareness on radical sports injuries and somehow we all can feel safer for it...?

Most headlinging: Carson Palmer vs. Kemo Von Oelhoffen in last year's playoffs. Late hit, no. Unnecessary, yes. Part of the game, not any more. I was pretty far away, those tickets didn't come easy.
Most horrific: September 23, 2000. Penn State vs. Ohio State, Columbus, Ohio. A 45-6 drubbing by the Buckeyes. I had to look up the score. The one thing I remember sitting in the stands was the deathly quiet of Ohio Stadium. This was the day Adam Taliaferro broke his C-5 vertebrae trying to make a tackle against the Buckeyes. Directly in front of me on the Penn State sidelines, I was 3 rows up in the stands. Don't lead with your helmet.
Most painful: The shredding of my own left ACL and MCL returning a punt roughly 22 months ago my junior year of college. I still can't watch television replays of knee injuries.
