Allen Ripley

Born on October 18, 1952 in Norwood, Massachusetts, Allen Ripley (Allen Stevens Ripley) played for the Boston Red Sox, San Francisco Giants and Chicago Cubs over the course of his 5 year career. Ripley broke into the bigs on April 10, 1978 with the Boston Red Sox, and put up a 5.55 ERA in 73 innings pitched in 1978, his rookie year.
Most people believe that Allen Ripley's best season was 1980, when he posted a 4.15 ERA and struck out 65 batters.
