All You Can Eat Dodger Dogs!

13
Vote

Starting this season, the Los Angeles Dodgers will sell a special 3,000 capacity section in their right field stands as "all you can eat" for certain concessions. For $40 on gameday ($35 in advance) fans can go to town on as many hot dogs, nachos, peanuts, popcorn, and sodas as they want. Beer of course, must still be purchased individually.

I think the Dodgers just gained a new high profile fan.

First off, Joey Chesnut is gonna beat Kobiyashi this year. Count on it.

Second, I might have to make a trip out to L.A. this year and put a hurtin on 'em - I am the 2-time pumpkin pie eating champ at my work =)

Now that I think about it, sitting in a section with 2,999 slobs/Dodger fans might not be as fun as it sounds...

If you work from home, that means you can eat more pumpkin pie than your wife, kids and pets. Bravo, Manny, bravo indeed.

First off, neither you nor Chestnut has proven to beat Kobiyashi to date. So I'd take him first in my fantasy eating league. Jeter and Brosius would, of course, also be ranking highly since they have a propensity for peforming under such circumstances.

OK moron, who said I work from home? As a stockbroker?

And where were you this past July 4th when Kobiyashi beat Chesnutt by a mere 1 and 3/4 dogs? Chesnutt put down 52 dogs, which beat Kobiyashi's previous world record.

I grow weary of you, Anon. Unless Jeter is a Dodger, this article has nothing to do with him (or Brosius).

Yeah, but in the end Chestnut lost didn't he? Doesn't matter that he got furhter than everyone else or came pretty close. Article has just as much to do with jeter as it does your pumpkin pie. Especially when you choose to ignore arguments against one (chestnut) yet levy those same arguments vs another (jeter).

i agree, Jeter is the captain and could easily beat chestnut or a-hole in an eating contest. Jeter always gets it done when it counts, in the CLUTCH.

Try to keep it on topic, anon (note the sarcasm). Do you really think Manny could beat his wife (in a pumpkin pie eating contest, that is)?

aNON #1, YOU ARE A CERTIFIED IDIOT. READ THE ARTICLE.

Me eating pumpkin pie has relevance to eating as much as I possibly can - the article is about eating ALL YOU CAN.

Jeter is not a Dodger, he is not a hot dog. The only argum, ent I choose to ignore is the argument of ignorance, yours!

Oh. Sorry. Wasn't aware that some of your comments are arguable while others are not (chestnut is gonna beat Koby this yr. Count on it.) Since you can eat pie better than your stockbroker colleagues, you must certainly be an expert on the topic and I should surely not try to disagree with someone so proficient in shoving food down his throat. Please accept my sincere apologies.

blablah bla blah bla... Argue all you want. Chestnut will beat Kobiyashi this year, as I said. I don't know how I prevent you from arguing my bold prediction...

You said I was off topic, did you not. I was merely being anagalous by comparing Kobiyashi (proven) to WS winning Jeter and Chestnut (unproven) to non WS winning Jeter. And I'm wondering how you of all people would support Chestnut due to how you view Jeter, but more specifically, how you equate any player's success to team success at your conveniance.

Look, I like a good argument more than most, but...

1) get a log in and we can deul til Jeter wins another World Series (forever) 2) you make absolutely no sense most of the time

3) stop living in the past. jeter is a FORMER Champion. He hasn't won squat this century. IN FACT, you can pile a MOUNTAIN of evidence that he is a LOSER, not a champ. (See: 2001, 2002, 2003, 2004, 2005 and 2006; highest payroll in baseball)

Exactly my point. Chestnut has NEVER won and as such has an even larger mountain of evidence than jeter which proves he's a loser. Just like A-Rod. So that's why my money's on Kobiyashi.

So you're saying because Chestnut's never won, he never will...

To reiterate that you are an idiot. Chestnutt has been in all of TWO Nathan's comps. No ONE else has ever topped 38, let alone 40, 50... he was LESS THAN 2 dogs behind the "World's greatest"... he's 22 years old. Kobiyashi's reign is nearing it's end.

Also, Chestnut has come in a close second more times in the last year than Jeter has since 2003 (unless you're counting MVP voting, yeah Jeter LOST that too, loser.)

Not saying he never will. Just that he hasn't. That's it and you can't dispute that no matter what else you say. That's all that matters. He hasn't. So I'd rather bank on kobiyashi.

I never disputed and I don't care what Joey Chestnutt has or hasn't done... I said he will beat Kobiyashi.

The Yankees haven't won a World Series since "Mr November" - THAT'S all that matters.

This is great. At a ball game, if you buy a Dog and a Coke its like ten to fifteen bucks, but for an extra 20 to 25, you can eat and eat and eat. Genius!

Id take em up on the offer. Now its about 600 bucks to fly cross country. Just need one of my fellow armchair writers to put me up for a night or 2, 35 bucks for a ticket to the game. Sounds perfectly logical for me to have all I can eat hot dogs.

If they give out a complimentary Dogers puke bucket then its worth the trip. I want a bucket though, not one of those wimpy bags they have on the planes.
